Arts and Entertainment
Panama City is home to a thriving, ever-growing arts scene with a handful of local museums, vibrant live music, outdoor art installations, the Red Fish Film Festival, FLLUXE, and the Public Eye SOAR projection festival. Located in the heart of Downtown is The Panama City Center for the Arts, along with the upcoming Martin Theatre, which holds visual and performing arts performances and exhibitions.
Some of our local museums and galleries include the Science & Discovery Center of Northwest Florida, the Panama City Publishing Company Museum, Gallery of Art 850, the UnReal ARTists Gallery, Native Spirit Museum and Gallery, Bay County Historical Museum and Paul Brent Designer Inc. Panama City is also home to multiple arts collectives such as the Panama City Symphony Orchestra, Kaleidoscope Theatre, the Gulf Jazz Society, the Panama City Music Association, the Panama City Theatre Company, and the Panama City Ballet.
Throughout the City is a Mural Trail composed of outdoor art made by locally and nationally acclaimed artists. Stretching from St. Andrews, Downtown, to Millville, the Mural Trail has over 15 exhibits that reflect our City's welcoming southern charm and coastal lifestyle.
Waterfront Access
Situated on water visited from around the nation, Panama City has multiple ways to enjoy the Gulf. Public boat ramps exist at the St. Andrews Marina, Downtown Panama City Marina, Carl Gray Park, Snug Harbor Boat Ramp, and Bob George Park. Additionally, we have a handful of beautiful waterfront parks, including Adams Park, Asbell Park, Calhoun Beach Park, the Lake Huntington Clubhouse, Millville Waterfront Park, Oaks by the Bay Park, and Venetian Sunset Park.
Sports and Recreation
Our City is also home to numerous sports complexes and sports to support our active, family-friendly community. Bring your equipment and enjoy a day of recreation at our eight walking trails, 13 playgrounds, four tennis courts, four pickleball courts, eight baseball fields, six basketball courts, five softball fields, three football field, 20 multipurpose fields, seven volleyball courts, dog park, a frisbee golf course, skate park and an upcoming recreation center.
