City of Panama City (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Pretty Bayou Water and Wastewater Improvements Phase 1
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Panama City Purchasing Division located at City Hall, 501 Harrison Avenue, Suite 238, Panama City, FL 32401, until Monday, April 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm CT. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read in Room 10.
The Project includes the following Work:
This project involves the construction of new water main extensions and new pressure sewer collection system along Kings Road, Kings Drive, Canal Drive, and West 27th Street in Panama City, Florida to provide city water and sewer service to existing residential homes. The new water system extensions involve the installation of approximately 11,000 LF of water main (5,000 LF of 10” PVC pipe, 4,700 LF of 6” PVC pipe, 1,200 LF of 10” Fusible PVC bore pipe, & 100 LF of 6” Fusible PVC bore pipe) and two (2) existing water system connections with all associated water services, fire hydrants, valves, fittings, and other appurtenances. The new pressure sewer collection system involves the installation of approximately 9,950 LF of pressure sewer main (3,300 LF of 4” PVC pipe, 300 LF of 4” HDPE bore, 650 LF of 3” PVC pipe, & 5,700 LF of 2” HDPE pipe) with all associated pressure sewer services, sewer cleanouts, valves, fittings, and other appurtenances. The project also includes the replacement existing wastewater lift station LS-119, which involves the installation of a new wet well, submersible pumps, duplex control panel, discharge piping, engine driven emergency backup pump and all other associated lift station site improvements and appurtenances.
The Project has an expected duration of 330 days.

Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office by emailing Tyler Robinson, E.I. at . All Bidders must be registered plan holders and must request bid documents from the Engineer, Panhandle Engineering Inc., to be added to the plan holders list. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer’s office. Addenda, if any, will be provided electronically to plan holders, as well as posted on the City’s website https://www.panamacity.gov/bids.aspx and Bonfire Portal https://panamacity.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities, and a return receipt will be requested to verify receipt.
There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project.
