The Panama City Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and World Changers are currently accepting applications for the Home Repair and Painting Program from qualifying homeowners in the Downtown North and Millville CRA districts.

World Changers partners with local city agencies and churches to mobilize volunteers needed to help serve local residents. Participants spend a week serving on crews with students and adults from other churches—completing assignments ranging from painting and roofing to building handicap ramps—all to improve the quality of life for local residents.

This year, volunteer groups will be coming to Panama City to help from July 10 - 13, 2023. The work they perform is free to the owners of the homes.

Homeowners wishing to apply must own and occupy a home in the Downtown North or Millville CRA district. The property must be safe and manageable for volunteers to work on. Repairs are generally limited to basic home improvements and painting that can be accomplished by unskilled and semi-skilled volunteers. No electrical or interior improvements will be provided. Homeowners will be notified by the Panama City CRA as to whether or not their house has been selected by a volunteer group.

Applications are available on the City's website, World Changers Application, or at City Hall, located at 501 Harrison Avenue in Room 206. Forms must be completed and submitted to cras@panamacity.gov by June 15, 2023.
