Share your feedback on the concept plans for three parks

The City of Panama City is currently seeking feedback from the public on the Concept Plans for the renovation of Hentz Park, Harry Edwards Park, and Cove Lane Park. 

Panhandle Engineering, Inc. presented the designs during an Open House on November 15, 2021 and will use feedback gathered from the public to complete the design and engineering process for the three parks.

FEMA has obligated 428 Project funding for the repairs and renovations to the three projects.

Concept Plans

Hentz Park is located at 1999 Drake Avenue. The project will include site development that may include pavilions and restroom facilities, lighting for public functions accordingly, playground including distinct apparatus for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12, landscaping including irrigation, hardscaping (benches, trash receptacles, e.g.,), parking, walk/jog track, and outdoor fitness areas for wellness and cardio activities, and development of a retention pond.

Harry Edwards Park is located in the 600 block of Bunkers Cove Road. The project will include site development that may include walk/jog perimeter track, lighting for public functions accordingly, playground including distinct apparatus for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12, landscaping including irrigation, hardscaping (benches, trash receptacles, e.g.,), parking, and outdoor fitness areas for wellness and cardio activities, fenced k9 recreation area, and parallel parking for golf carts.

Cove Lane Park is located at S. Cove Lane and S. Cove Terrace Drive. The project will include site development that may include walk/jog perimeter track, lighting for public functions and accordingly, playground including distinct apparatus for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12, landscaping including irrigation, hardscaping (benches, trash receptacles, e.g.), parking, and outdoor fitness areas for wellness and cardio activities, and parallel parking for golf carts.
