UPDATE (June 22, 2021):

The City Commission has awarded a bid for the Lindenwood Drive Roadway Improvement to American Sand and Asphalt in the amount of $4,400,000.

The project includes enhanced correction to the long standing infrastructure issues on Lindenwood Drive, but the roadway and utility lines will be replaced in the same location as the existing infrastructure with no major design changes.

The next step is for the Public Works Team to meet with American Sand and Asphalt and issue a Notice to Proceed. Construction on the project is expected to begin within 30 to 45 days.

The City is committed to easing the impact of construction on citizens while allowing construction to progress as quickly as possible. The contractor for the project will be required to ensure citizens have access to their homes at all times. Water service must be maintained to all homes except during the transfer of water services to new lines. Temporary interruption of water services must be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Access to the sanitary sewer system will also be maintained at all times.

Additionally, trees within the right-of-way that are not identified for removal must be protected and preserved. The contractor will also be required to re-sod all disturbed areas following the completion of construction.

Updates on construction timelines and notices of temporary interruption of water services will be shared on the City’s website, pcgov.org, and distributed to impacted homes via letter.

The project is funded by the Bay County Infrastructure Surtax and a reimbursable grant from Florida Department of Transportation in the amount of $500,000.
